Northern Cyprus has two airports. The larger of the two is Ercan near Lefkosa (Nicosia), the second one is Geçitkale near Famagusta.

The main industrial port in Northern Cyprus is in Famagusta (Magusa) and Kyrenia (Girne).

Bus Tours of Northern Cyprus
Some hotels organise their own tours of Northern Cyprus. If your hotel does not do so and you wish to join a bus tour, you may contact your hotel reception that will put you in touch with a tour company.

Car Rental in Northern Cyprus
This service is available in all major towns and in most hotels of Northern Cyprus. A British or international drivers licence is required. Rental cars have red number plates in Northern Cyprus.

Hitch-Hiking in North Cyprus
This form of travel is popular with the young and is generally not thought to be dangerous in any way in Northern Cyprus.

Public Transport in Northern Cyprus
A good inexpensive network of buses and mini-buses operates between all the main towns in Northern Cyprus. In addition, there are Dolmush (shared taxis) operating on main routes. Taxis are widely available also in Northern Cyprus but do not carry a meter, however, there are standard journey charges, which you should enquire before taking one.

Traffic in Northern Cyprus
Please drive on the left in Northern Cyprus. All traffic and road signs are international. Maximum speed varies, however, is 100 km/hr in most areas. Vehicles entering Northern Cyprus must be insured by law upon arrival. Seat belts must be worn by law in Northern Cyprus. Drivers, of course, are prohibited to drive under the influence of alcohol. The alcohol limit in Northern Cyprus is 50mgr.
